Heather Vaughan grew up near Winston-Salem, NC in the small town of Midway. She has fond memories from her childhood, working in the garden or playing outside in the woods till dark and credits the people of Midway, family and friends for her love of the simple life. As a student at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro she encountered other cultures and developed a desire to travel. Shortly after graduation, she began traveling the world with her husband, friends and family members. Hopefully one day she will be able to complete her goal of stepping foot into every country.
While Heather is an avid equestrian and devoted Tar Heel, she is also proud to be called a Christian. Accepting Christ at a young age, God has always been a huge part of her life. As a teenager, college student and young professional, God led her footsteps and guided her path routinely. Perhaps His most recent intervention was with the birth of her daughter. Kids weren’t really an option for Heather but through various doctor visits and medical opinions she and her husband decided to try for at least one. Despite diversity, pain, several hospital stays and surgeries she and her husband welcomed a little girl in the spring of 2014!
Currently Heather, her husband Robbie and their daughter Dylan-Reese reside in Winston-Salem, NC.
